July 1, 2007 Mark's Recordings and Ethiopia Benefit A review of Memoirs of a Distracted Church Organist appears on Matt Howarth's Sonic Curiosity Web site (www.soniccuriosity.com/sc302.htm). Mark is about a third of the way through the recording of the follow up to Goldenacre. The working title of the project is Enduring the Going Hence. Look for a late autumn release along with The Novelist's Ear, a companion recording to Memoirs of a Distracted Church Organist. And finally, a special thank you to all who played, contributed, attended, and donated to the Ethiopia Benefit. March, 2007 Baltimore Magazine Reviews Mark Renner's Goldenacre In the March 2007 issue of Baltimore magazine, John Lewis wrote his review of Mark Renner's Goldenacre disc and said, "An electronic recording shot through with the measured cadence of a reflective soul" and "Renner crafts delicate, literate songs that echo mid-1980’s experimental pop, with a contemporary twist."
